What lays hidden beneath the surface is a whirlwind of doubt, poverty, and madness. This is the breeding of Vincent van Gogh. Vincent van Gogh was born March 30, 1853 in Groot-Zundert, a small crossroads in the southern Netherlands. His let was Anna Cornelia Carbentus, daughter of a bookseller, and his engender Theodorus van Gogh was a reverend of the protestant church. Vincent was the firstborn of three sisters, Elisabeth, Anna, and Wil, and two brothers Theo and Cor. Vincent grew threadbare of working for art dealers and found himself drawn toward religion, which led him to make up in his father’s footsteps and became a clergyman. In 1877, he moved to Amsterdam to enroll in a theology school but was denied admittance. Thereafter, he moved to Borinage, a ember mining district in Belgium, where he got a put-on as a lay minister. Seeing what the poverty was the worry there, he gave away all of his belongings and created an obsession with the idyll life.
