In the reading The Parable of the sadhu by Bowen McCoy, he write more or less his adventure climbing the Himalayas with a trembler Stephen. When McCoy was done the he met back up with Stephen, who stayed to help the Sadhu. Stephen looked at McCoy and said How do you feel about contributing to the death of a fellow man? The Sadu was non dead, but he wasnt going to get better. The Swiss and Japanese did not help the man like McCoy judgment they would.



Each person was only willing to help as long as it did not get in the agency of their plan. McCoy said that they all helped in the way they could. To this day the group does not know if the Sadhu lived or died.
Stephen said to McCoy I wonder what the Sherpas would have done if the Sadhu had been a well-dressed Nepali, or what the Japanese would have done if the Sadhu had been a well-dressed Asian, or what you would have done, if the Sadhu was a well-dressed Western woman?
