The Effect of Fertilizer on Seed Germination

Background:
Seed germination and is determined by many factors, but suppose it is possible to speed up this rate by adding fertilizer to water given to the seeds during the germination phase of growth. Seeds have stored nutrients in them to look with energy and growth; it uses these nutrients, and needs more to continue growth, by adding fertilizers that contain many of the nutrients seeds need to germinate and develop, like nitrogen, potassium, and phosphates, the seed may increase its initial growth speed. The purpose of this test is to determine whether fertilizers are added to seeds to make them germinate faster or not.





Hypothesis:
If fertilizers are added to seeds, then the seed will germinate faster, and the seedling grow and develop faster than seeds and seedlings to which no fertilizer was added because of the addition of nutrients that aid in plant growth.

Independent Variable:
The self-sufficing varying is whether fertilizer, and what type of fertilizer, is added to seeds.

Dependent Variable:
The dependent variable is how quickly the seeds germinate into seedlings and grow. The seedlings will be observed everyday and any changes recorded.
