D-Day: The Battle of Valor, Horror, and Freedom
Hearts mallet, jittery knees, shaking arms, and nervousness pounding from head to toe. The darkness and mist surrounding the morning air. The clownish waters of the English Channel hitting the sides of the U.S. fleet. Anticipation breathing out through each soldiers head. The U.S. ships arriving into the sandy shores of Normandy. The ship doors opening and ramps move for groundwork and tanks. Gunshots piercing soldiers and ships, making every soldiers fear a trueity. This was the harsh actuality of the U.S. soldiers in the first infantry who landed at Normandy, France, on June 6, 1944. Freedom was at pretend and there was no turning back. Ready or not, the Americans were supperless and they werent backing down for anybody, especially the Germans. Lt. The Nazi craze was at full force in Germany, making them very dangerous to the loosening of Europe and world.
