Gifted Hands
Benjamin Carson, M.D., is one of the near celebrated neurosurgeons in the world. In Gifted Hands, he tells an enliven story of his life from when he was an inner-city youngster in Detroit who rise above his circumstances to become the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. He is a pioneer in medicine because he has performed countless surgeries that changed medical history. With education and love and loyalty from his mother, ben gives children without want a second chance at life and a clear message that there are no limitations to success.
At the beginning of the movie, education does not hold much honor in Bens eyes. The reason for this is that Ben wasnt doing very wholesome in school. Sonya Carson is to be credited with showing the Carson brothers the value of education. She pushed them into pickings their education seriously by cutting down their television system time and making them read more. One day in church ben heard a story of missionarys in Africa and decided that he wanted to become a doctor. With his newfound value of education, he believed that is possible and his mother overlap in the belief.
Ben was challenged in almost all-white school and felt dimmed compared to the other fifth-graders. He vividly remembers many zeros and low grades on math papers. His mother kept encouraging him to do mitigate even when he had improved. When ben started to read more he expand his horizons and started to overtake the cases one by one. Ben, through hard create and determination kept his title as top of the shed light on to the point where the principal was ashamed that a black boy was at the top of the class.
