In todays society children do not have the opportunity to participate in traditional rites of passage. Children nowadays will established their own rites of passage where it involves, sex, drugs, junto initiation, and tattooing or body lancinate. Some of these types of initiation can be deadly or unhealthy. For examples; body piercing and tattooing can ingest infection if equipment is not being sterile properly.
