Overview
Continental old sum of money is a community of interests based organization located in Westminster, Orange County, calcium; a historically rich community founded nearly two hundred years ago. Approximately 60% of the population of Westminster is over the shape up of 60 and have lived there all their lives. Of these older residents around 50% have a poverty-level income. The Continental Senior Center is proposing a five-year project in which to provide services to the aging community and their families to aid in improving their living conditions. The Senior Center is located in downtown Westminster; it is in the mettle of the community allowing for activities and services to be provided in an easily tender location.
Assessment
The target population of the Continental Senior Center is the seniors in the community over the age of 60 that have poverty-level incomes. The senior population over the next five years give bear to amplify about 1% a year therefore, the problems faced by the community will continue if programs ar not put into place to assist the seniors. Increased engineering and qualified case managers will assist in providing to a greater extent structured support and access to area services.



There has been an increase in younger families in the community due to the engineering firms that have located to Westminster; this lowers the availability of low-priced lodging for seniors scarcely increases the potential sources for fundraising the senior center can access to continue providing programs and activities to the community.
Needs and Problem Statement
Westminster has a population of approximately 88,000, with 60% of the population being over the age of 60 and 50% of the senior residents living in poverty that amounts to 26,400 seniors living in poverty.
