The book I am going to review is maven from Louis LAmour. The book is c every last(predicate)ed To Tame A Land. The settings were back in the early 1900s in Texas and Oklahoma. It is the story of a cattle drive and the need to sire 500 head into the mountains bulge out front winter. The story begins with a little boy named rye Taylor and his set to the highest degree. They were pushing cattle and were caught by Indians. The Indians shot rye whiskeys father and killed him. Rye got away and met a man named Logan Pollard who taught him everything about being a man. Pollard even taught Rye how to identify and shoot well. Rye stayed with Logan up till he was 18 old age old. Rye went to work breaking horses for a rancher in Texas while Logan rode on. The rancher had a daughter named Liza. Of course, she and Rye became very close. The rancher and Rye went to town one day, and the rancher got shot and killed. Rye decided that he had better leave because everyone knew and had seen how fast Rye was with a taw. He tried to get Liza to go with him, but she would not go; so he left. He rode for some years just doing what they did back. He hunted animals and protected himself from the Indians. Rye came up on this little town and went into the saloon where he got into a gun fight. He shot many bad men.

When the gun fight was over, the towns people wanted Rye to stay and be the sheriff. He decided to stay. While he was the sheriff, he unploughed hearing about this place in the mountains called Robbers breathe where all the villains stayed. He had heard that one of the most wanted, Ash Mallow was biography there. Rye took off to capture Millow. On his way there, he went by to see how Liza was doing. He found out someone had come in, stolen everything, and kidnapped Liza. He was furious! He went to Robbers Roost to find this Ash Millow. And he did! that he overly found out that they were holding Liza as well. Rye ended up shooting Ash Millow in the back. But to his surprise, it was Logan Pollard.
