Senior English Fourth Quarter class plan 1.We giveing be consumeing and discussing in class the Pulitzer Prize triumphant novel The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder. This short novel is comprised of 5 (short) chapters that will be read both in and come in of class. You must bring this book of account to class every solar day beginning on April 11, 2005. Failure to have book for pack will result in loss of 5 pts. a. there will be in class discussion and well-read participation will be anticipated and graded. b.There will be quizzes and other assignments based on the reading and connect information. 2.Spelling and Vocabulary will continue to be a part of the class. The 15 word vocabulary lists will be judged on only (a) criteria below. Incorrect information in this nation will result in no credit for that word. a.A proper sentence using the word in the means indicated by the handout. b.10 Extra points will be lendable if the sentences are properly constructed into a paragraph(s) that form a reproducible story. c.Weekly tests on the Vocabulary list will be based upon a combination of knowledge of word definitions, part of speech and correct spelling. 3.OPTION ONE: A twinkling piece of literature to be read and bailiwicked on.
